Jak przebiegała operacja przyszycia penisa?
Podczas operacji dość szybko zidentyfikowano główne naczynia krwionośne, biegnące wzdłuż górnej części penisa. Okazało się, że są sprawne. Inaczej było w przypadku przyłączenia żyły. Podczas tego procesu niezbędny był przeszczep z żyły z ramienia.
– Przepływ krwi w tętnicach został osiągnięty 8 godzin po przybyciu do szpitala z powodu współistniejących urazów pacjenta, dzięki czemu całkowity czas niedokrwienia wyniósł 23 godziny – informują lekarze w opisie przypadku.
W przypadku amputacji penisa, niezwykle ważna jest szybka reakcja
Zgodnie z literaturą medyczną, odnotowano zaledwie ok. 100 przypadków ponownego przyłączenia lub transplantacji prącia. Pomimo tak skromnej dokumentacji w literaturze w tej kwestii, jedno jest pewne: istotną rolę w przypadku tego typu zabiegów odgrywa czas. Jak podaje literatura, zasadniczo po upływie 12 godz. szanse na powodzenie replantacji są już niewielkie.
Przyszycie amputowanego penisa jest zabiegiem, podczas którego wykonywane są skomplikowane procedury mikrochirurgiczne, a także zabiegi chirurgów urologicznych oraz chirurgów plastycznych. Z uwagi jednak na to, że niewielu lekarzy zna zasady postępowania w takich przypadkach, leczenie niejednokrotnie jest opóźnione.
Operowany 34-letni pacjent cierpi na schizofrenię paranoidalną. Amputując sobie penisa próbował odebrać sobie życie. Do szpitala został przetransportowany 15 godzin od zdarzenia.
