Wypadek miał miejsce ponad 100 km od Warszawy. Replantacja po urazie awulsyjnym jest operacją o znacznie trudniejszym stopniu trudności, w porównaniu z raną ciętą.
Jak podkreślił kierownik Kliniki Chirurgii Plastycznej CMKP prof. Bartłomiej Noszczyk, istnieje w Polsce kilka ośrodków replantacyjnych, które w sposób profesjonalny przeprowadzają tego rodzaju operacje, jednak większość zlokalizowana jest w zachodniej Polsce.
– Początek operacji to ocena odciętego fragmentu, czyli tego amputatu: co zostało uszkodzone na jakim etapie. To jest niezwykle ważne, żeby móc strategicznie zaplanować każdy krok kolejny operacji – wyjaśnił dr n. med. Łukasz Ulatowski. Także w momencie, kiedy mamy już te struktury ocenione, to możemy zabrać się za stabilizację kostną, jako pierwszy element, a później najważniejsze, żeby jak najszybciej przywrócić krążenie.
Aktualnie na transpaltancję w Polsce oczekuje 16 osób
Podczas operacji poszarpane naczynia zostały zastąpione żyłami ze stopy pacjenta. Pomimo odmowy ze strony innych ośrodków, lekarzom z CMKP udało się przyszyć odpowiednio zabezpieczoną po wypadku rękę. Co więcej, po trzech dobach potwierdzono, iż w replantowanej kończynie przywrócono krążenie.
Mężczyzna przyjmuje antybiotyki, które mają za zadanie uchronić go od różnego rodzaju infekcji. Pacjenta czeka teraz długa rehabilitacja, która jest podstawą przywrócenia sprawności dłoni.
– Dobrze byłoby, gdyby przynajmniej w każdym województwie był ośrodek, szpital, który byłby w stanie wykonać taką reimplantację – zwrócił uwagę konsultant krajowy w dziedzinie transplantologii klinicznej prof. Lech Cierpka. I rzeczywiście gdyby w danym województwie wiadomo było, gdzie takiego pacjenta przesłać, to byłby już duży sukces. Zwłaszcza że gdy minie za dużo czasu, nie pomogą nawet najlepsi lekarze – dodał.
