Ozonoterapia znajduje zastosowanie w wielu dziedzinach medycyny. Może być wykorzystywana między innymi w leczeniu reumatyzmu i chorób układu krążenia. Ważne zastosowanie ozonoterapii to także terapia zainfekowanych trudno gojących się ran.

Właściwości ozonu

Według aktualnej wiedzy naukowej ozon to najsilniejszy występujący w przyrodzie utleniacz, który wykazuje działanie przeciwbakteryjne, przeciwgrzybicze i przeciwwirusowe, a jednocześnie wpływa na poprawę utlenowania i odżywienia tkanek. Ozon stymuluje także metabolizm komórkowy, co przyspiesza proces ziarninowania, a w konsekwencji usprawnia gojenie tkanek. Działa również stymulująco na układ odpornościowy. Dzięki tym właściwościom ozon z powodzeniem może być stosowany w leczeniu trudno gojących się ran o różnej patogenezie i etiologii, w tym ran zakażonych. Pozytywny wpływ ozonu na proces leczenia wykazano między innymi w przypadku zespołu stopy cukrzycowej, owrzodzeń żylnych, a także ran pourazowych i oparzeń.

Ze względu na właściwości przeciwdrobnoustrojowe ozonu terapia z jego zastosowaniem stanowi także ważną opcję terapeutyczną w leczeniu ran zakażonych, zwłaszcza w przypadkach występowania silnej oporności na antybiotyki.

Metody podawania ozonu

Istnieją różne metody podawania ozonu. Należą do nich między innymi:

– bezpośrednie ozonowanie krwi żylnej (autohemoterapia ozonowa),

– stosowanie ozonu na ranę w postaci gazowej (but ozonowy, rękaw ozonowy),

– przemywanie ran, przetok lub drenaż za pomocą ozonowanej 0,9% soli fizjologicznej lub wody destylowanej,

– stosowanie opatrunków zawierających ozonowaną oliwę lub maści zawierających ozon.

Ozonoterapia a inne metody leczenia ran

W praktyce klinicznej ozonoterapia jest często stosowana komplementarnie z innymi metodami leczenia ran. W publikacjach naukowych wskazuje się na dobre efekty wykorzystywania ozonoterapii m.in. w połączeniu z terapią podciśnieniową. Wspólne zastosowanie obu tych metod pozwala na zmniejszenie stanu zapalnego, ograniczenie dolegliwości bólowych, przyspieszenie gojenia, a jednocześnie znacznie ogranicza koszty leczenia.

  40. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave
    it to my 4 year old daughter and said „You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.

    There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants
